Five Top Tips for Christmas




"Jingle bell, jingle bell...". Christmas is here everyone and it's a season to merry and party. As a Nigerian even if you aren't aware about the Christmas season, you must have be hearing the sound of bangers. Yeah, that is one of the signs we watch out for before and  during Christmas. 

It's the most beautiful  time of the year when Nigerians show prowess in their ability to make different Nigerian delicacies like amala, jollof rice, pounded yam e.t.c. We all know how the 2020 total lockdown impacted social activities, resulting in limited parties but 2021 has been somewhat different so we can party all day lonnnnnng!. 



Now that we are in the festive season, Nigerians are trying to make up for the lost time. There are things to watch out for in this season.

*COVID'19 Regulations



The first rule to adhere to is the Covid'19 regulations. Truly, we overcame the pandemic to some extent. Even at that, we can't afford to be lost in the moment and be caught off guard. 

If you are in that category of people who want to have a taste of Christmas food from house to house, please take your nose mask and hand sanitizer along and also keep a safe distance from people. Dear party host, put some Covid'19 regulations in place during your party and make sure that the guests are aware of them beforehand.

*Stay Hydrated


The excess dryness in the air causes dehydration during Christmas period because of the Harmattan so it is advisable to drink a lot of water and fruits. Take a bottle of water along as you go out to celebrate with family and friends. 


My brother, don't be shy to ask for another bottle of water just midway through eating three wraps of amala and gbegiri. I am not a doctor or dietician but I am just giving you tips on how to make this season to be enjoyable and worthwhile.

*Cover-Up Properly


Harmattan has caused a lot of skin and skin problems. In as much as you want to look chic, classy, and fashionable to that event, you need to cover up properly. You can look good in sweaters, sweatshirts, and hoods also. 

Exposure to cold can lead to constant respiratory issues like catarrh, cough, or even asthma. You wouldn't like to spend these few days of the year indoors instead of going out and celebrating with friends.

*Show Some Love

 
To enjoy your Christmas and festive season, put a smile on someone else's face. Give from the little substance you have and it will be appreciated. I am not here to preach about giving but just chipping in a little advice that will make Christmas worthwhile for It is a time of love.

Finally, do not let this season pass by without enjoying yourself and having fun. Get to know and network with people in the parties you will be attending this season. My darlings, mingle with potential clients so that your bank account can jingle...
