5 THINGS A BRIDE-TO-BE NEED TO AVOID BEFORE SAYING "I DO".
Where my brides at? Last year was filled with a lot of proposals. Covid-19 must have opened people’s eyes to the fact that life is short and the best thing ever is being with the one you love, hence the proposals. Now, this year is filled with lots of wedding bells and wedding preparation.
Today’s article is dedicated to the brides-to-be. Here are five things a bride-to-be needs to avoid in the process of the wedding preparations and planning.
1. AVOID BAD ENERGY: Dear bride-to-be, this period is very crucial. You are one step into saying “I do” to the love of your life. Surround yourself with friends who are positive and encouraging. These friends should be able to make you laugh and lighten up the tensed mood. The process of preparation is always stressful and brain tasking, you don’t need negativity during this period, and it will only sap your energy. Tell bad energy to stay far away, no matter who the person is.
2. AVOID STAYING UP ALL NIGHT: The two weeks before a wedding ceremony is always important because anything that goes wrong during this time might affect the big day. Sleeping early will go a long way to keeping you alert. Your wedding picture won’t make sense if your eyes are swollen and puffy with bags underneath. Rest well and cultivate the habit of sleeping early.
3. STEER CLEAR JUNKS: “I don’t have time to eat, this wedding preparation is really taking my time, yen yen yennnn!!”. Sweetheart, there is always time to eat, na you no wan chop. Eating healthy food is the best plan for fitting into that wedding gown properly. Your wedding gown will look borrowed on you if do not invest in healthy food.
4. DON’T SIDE-TRACK YOUR FIANCE: I have to loud this one o. Some ladies get too involved in this wedding plan that they forget their fiancé in the process. They wake up with wedding plans in their head and they sleep with wedding plans running through their vein. Don’t neglect the fun things you do together before He proposed to you. In fact, give yourself a break and have some fun. A wedding is a ceremony that occurs just for a day. Wedding plans go finish one day o and you will be left in a marriage with the person you forgot during the six months of preparation. No time to shalaye o, hold your man tight. I don talk my own.
5. BE ANXIOUS FOR NOTHING: I know you want your big day to be flawless without fault but baby girl, worrying and anxiety will do you no good. When you get anxious, it will affect your nervous system and you get jumpy and cranky about everything and anything. No one wants a cranky bride o so take time. Just take a deep breath, drink water, relax and enjoy that period of preparation.
Brides are the spectacles or centre of attraction on that big day. Rarely will you see people focused on the groom. Sorry about that o guys but it is what it is. We go to weddings to feed our eyes with the beauty of the bride and our mouth with the food. This is the reason why we need the brides to be in a good state and condition before and during the wedding, thus leading to their radiance on the big day.
I hope this has been of great help to every intending bride out there. Gracias and stay tuned for more tips and fun discussion.
