Wearing heels is an enemy to the business. It is very toxic and unhealthy for business. Get yourself fancy sandals or slippers.

KNOW HOW TO PUSH PEOPLE

This advice might seem harsh but darlings in this business “the violent taketh it by force”. You can’t afford to lose guard in this business of money picking. 

You won’t be able to pick any money if you choose to be a good Samaritan. Push people verbal not physically and get your money bag filled. 

Wait, I didn’t say you should break people’s legs o but in anything you do position yourself in the middle. When money is being sprayed, it lands in the middle so make way by pushing people off your space verbally.

GET A FANCY “GOODY” BAG

“In the good bag, kudi dey for the goody bag, money dey for the goody bag..” Dear money pickers, get your money bag ready. Using nylon, polybag, e.t.c is too risky, it could tear in the process of partying. 

Get fancy bags that are deep and wide enough to contain the money. Also, ensure to empty the bag at an interval to avoid overflow and the spilling out of money.

DON’T BE A FOREX STAND

It is not the duty of a money picker to change money for the guests at an event. That is the reason why there are money changers in owambe.

It’s funny when guests walk up to money pickers to change money for them. The most annoying thing is when they start specifying the denomination they want.

This is one of the distractions a money picker should avoid. Just politely decline and tell such guests to meet with money changers to change money for them.
